Combustion Club’s purpose is to help get folks out on a race track, whether that’s W2W racing or doing track days. Having spent many years racing in Northern California and yet living in a downtown San Francisco condo, we know first-hand the challenges to owning a race car; storing it, keeping it maintained, getting it places and having some support at the venue. So, we aim to provide services for those that need them.
Perhaps, like us in the past, you live in a small home or apartment with little storage available. Perhaps your HOA forbids the storage of vehicles and trailers in your yard. Or perhaps time spent on activities surrounding track events that aren’t actually on-track activities is not as well spent as time with your family or pursuing business or other interests.
Combustion Club can manage storage, transportation and at track support so that you can enjoy your time on track. Imagine traveling in the comfort of your daily driver or a plane to an event, arriving refreshed, and simply enjoying the on-track experience instead of worrying about packing a trailer, towing to the track, setting up and then reversing the whole process when you’d rather just get home at a decent hour and be ready for the next day. That’s what we look to provide.
Further, despite the fact that we personally rent and race SE30s, we are happy to support other types of cars. This leads us to a note on maintenance. Combustion Club is not a race shop nor do we employ mechanics. We work with various professional shops to maintain our own rental cars but we do not wish to limit our clientele to just E30 BMWs. Clients will need to ensure that they have resources themselves or relationships with a shop(s) to maintain their cars. We’ll be happy to get the cars to and from appointments for maintenance, but we don’t do the work ourselves.
